At the varsity level, the 4x100m relay team of Derrious Burns, Terrance Majors, Jordan Randolph, and De'Chaar Greer placed 2nd, and the same 4 athletes finished 2nd in the 4x200m relay. The 4x400m relay of Burns, Majors, Chris Bell, and Preston Jones finished in 4th place. Greer placed 4th in the 100m, 3rd in the long jump, and 3rd in the triple jump. Jadarius Wright finished 2nd in the long jump, 4th in the triple jump, 6th in the 400m and 3rd in the 200m. Preston Jones finished 5th in the 200m and 2nd in the 400m. Larry Tinsley placed 5th in the shot put.

For the JV the 4x100m relay of Chris Dorsey, Jamarquise Degrate, Jadarion Degrate, and Jalen Harris finished 2nd. Dorsey, Jamarquise Degrate, Kveon Scott, and Harris placed 2nd in the 4x200. The 4x400m relay of Dorsey, Scott, Jadarion Degrate, and Gerald Watson finished 3rd. Elijah Smith was 2nd in the 100m and won the 200m. Jalen Harris placed 5th in the 100m. Rodrick Harris finished 6th in the 200m. Gerald Watson was 6th in the 400m. Chris Dorsey won both the long and triple jump. Kveon Scott was 5th in the long jump.

The University Trojans boys track team competed well against stiff competition at the Temple Relays on Saturday, March 5th. Highlights were a 3rd place finish by the Varsity 4x100m relay team of Jordan Randolph, De'Chaar Greer, Doug Scott, and Demarcus Haliburton, clocking a 43.39 in a race where 1st place Belton, 2nd place Copperas Cove, and UHS were seperated by less than .20 of a second. Juan Salas placed 4th in the 3200m which was his FIRST RACE of the year! The JV also competed well, with Elijah Smith finishing 4th in the 100m and the relay teams clocking great times and placing well.

The track coaching staff would like to thank all of the UHS staff for all they do for these young men! They are working hard to prepare for the district track meet in April.
